Last Sunday (July 30th) we went on a picnic at The Winery at Wolfcreek. It's a perfect setting in which you can bring your own food, purchase a glass or bottle of wine and enjoy the scenery. They have an indoor wine tasting room along with snacks and games. As the end of summer is approaching, we realized we need to actually do the things we've been talking about all summer. This was one of them. As you can tell in the photo we have yet to purchase a picnic basket; but our blue cooler got the job done in great form.For a light summer treat I made:
- mandarin orange & raspberry salad with toasted almonds
- fresh mozzarella & tomato salad
- creamy crunchy strawberry dessert
We had some great local wine and engaged in casual conversations with new friends.
