A Carnival by our House!

Looks as if they're building a carnival ride on the property adjacent to our condominium property.  See the pretty lights:

Just kidding. They're drilling for oil. But the lights and noise are surely the center of attention on Akron's Merriman Valley.

While I was president of our condominium association's Board in 2008, I signed a contract with an oil well driller (along with 2 or 3 other nearby property owners) to allow the drilling.  In his infinite wisdom, the developer of our property failed to keep ownership of the mineral rights to the condominium property. Hence, we are the rightful owners of the minerals beneath our land, enabling us to enter into such a contract whereby we may either become very wealthy property owners, or find that we've gained nothing because they didn't find any oil.

Which one will it be?  I'm not holding my breath, but hoping for the former of the two.

My mother-in-law came into something very similar, but to no avail. Needless to say, Rick and I still have to go to work everyday – LOL! - Beth
