Okay . . . so call me ignorant, but I didn't know that they were going to dilate my eyes at the optometrist's today. I haven't had an eye exam for years. I've been experiencing excessive watering in my left eye; couldn't possibly guess what to attribute it to. Now, I'm at work, and have had to resort to the built-in Windows Magnifier to see my work. Surely, this is a miniscule dose of what it must be like to be visually impaired. Hopefully, the dilation will subside by a reasonable hour today; it would make for a long day being unable to focus and having blurred vision in the IT department.
[11:42AM: I just went into the restroom to check out my eye based on multiple accounts of how my eyes are dilated and I look like a freak. Srsly.]
Anyway - I previously mentioned our visit to the Art Expo at Hardesty Park was a fruitful one, with our first "big ticket" art purchase. The artist called my cell a couple of days ago to let me know that he would be hand-delivering our piece this Saturday. He specifically did this piece for Akron art lovers. Oh, the anticipation!
Look for pictures on the day of delivery!
